Requirements
• Full time position
• Class 1 AZ license
• 1 year tractor/trailer driving experience under DOT regulations
• Acceptable safety record that can be verified through reliable sources
• Clean drivers abstract
• Criminal record check
• Not involved in a major preventable accident within 3 years of date of application
• Must pass a company approved medical exam including drug and controlled substance testing
Job Duties
• Operation of heavy duty truck and trailer units.
• Comply with hours of service, provincial and federal rules and regulations
• Load trucks to comply with applicable weight and Department of Transport (D.O.T.) regulations
• Make emergency roadside repairs and adjustments
• Keep record of loads and maintain log books
• Inform Run-Rite Freight Systems Inc. of any D.O.T. violations
• Perform pre-trip/enroute/post-trip inspections to ensure equipment is safe and compliant with provincial and federal rules and regulations
• Maintain personal, vehicle, trip, and manifest documentation and remain in contact with dispatch at all times
